Frequently Asked Questions
Do I need an inspection?
A home inspection provides a number of benefits, including:
- Help to understand the current condition the day of the inspection prior to purchase.
- Help to identify defects and unsafe conditions.
- Help in giving you the information to make an informed decision about your purchase.
Is it possible for a home to fail an inspection?
The inspection is designed to tell you what needs to be repaired on the house. This does not mean that the house has “failed” the inspection and will not be able to be sold.
Can I attend the inspection?
This is a great question and one that does not have a simple answer.
What areas do you cover?
We proudly serve From Boca Raton to Port St. Lucie and Ft. Pierce, and everywhere else in between.
What parts of my house will they be looking at?
A home inspection is a thorough visual check of your home. While we won’t be opening up your walls or picking up floorboards, we will, at minimum, look at your house’s foundation, floors, walls, ceilings, siding, exterior trim, doors, porches, surface drainage, walkways, driveways, patios, steps, skylights, fireplaces and chimneys, roof coverings and drainage, water, and waste pipes, water heaters, sump pumps, electrical systems and panels, heating and cooling systems, vents, cabinets, counters, attics, and crawl spaces, basements, laundry rooms, and windows, among other areas.
Should I read the report? I was present for the inspection so it seems redundant...
YES. We cover a lot of ground quickly during the inspection and the report summarizes it all and is neatly organized. Reading the report will give you additional clarity.
